Do you know someone who makes New Year’s resolutions that only last a week or two? Taking up jogging so they can run a marathon, going teetotal, or hosting a podcast on the lives of sea snails? Perhaps 2025 is the year for them to try something different. Something they might stick to. If so, please forward this email on.
Hello!
Maybe you have sung in large choirs, but have you thought of trying a smaller one like ours? As a chamber choir, our size means that every voice counts. And some of our singing is a capella (without accompaniment) which improves singers’ skills in listening and blending together. The great thing is that singing counts as aerobic activity and can boost your mood. We’re really looking forward to our next concert on 6th April where we’re going to be singing a varied programme including Handel, Schubert, Ireland, Holst and William Lloyd Webber.
We asked our members why they like singing in Hillingdon Chamber Choir and here are some of the reasons they gave:
“…because I sing with an incredibly friendly bunch of good singers!”
“…I’m always amazed at the sound we can produce at our concerts.”
“…I feel inspired and calmed after our productive, friendly rehearsals.”
“…it is a small, close-knit and very friendly team activity in which every voice counts and everyone supports each other.”
Time to try it out for yourself? If you want to find out more, take a look at our website. We practise on Tuesday evenings in Hillingdon and start rehearsals again on 14th January. And it won’t cost to try it out because the first term is free for new members! |
